Ridgemont’s new building, culture focus of book
Officials from Ridgemont Local School District announced this week that the district’s design process for its new pre-K through 12 school building and hands-on learning environment is the focus of a newly published book, Irresistible: A story of passionate leadership and smart design changed a school and community, released this month.
Written by the school district’s architecture/design firm, SHP Leading Design of Cincinnati, the book was published by Wordsworth Press and is available for purchase on Amazon.
“When Ridgemont voters approved a bond issue to build a new school for their students, they did not realize the story of their process would result in a published book,” school officials said in a press release. “The futuristic educational design has caught the attention of many architects and school districts and they want to know how to transform the educational process in regards to both instruction and building design.”
“This is the true and inspiring tale of a school district in rural Ohio that created a truly remarkable school, one worthy of the 21st century and all the promise it holds,” the publisher’s description of the book states.
