A member of the Ohio Hi- Point-Indian Lake High School FFA Chapter earned a first place finish Friday at the State FFA Convention in Columbus.
Sophomore Allix Cotterman claimed top honors in the area of AgriScience Research Animal Science proficiency. Because she excelled with her goldfishcentered science fair project last year, she decided to apply for the agriscience system area award, according to information from the school.
She was selected as a topfour finisher in the state and interviewed earlier in the week with a panel of judges.
Cotterman’s winning application is now forwarded to the National FFA, and she will find out this summer if she advances to the National FFA Convention in October.
The Hi-Point-ILHS FFA Chapter is advised by Tanner Schoen.
