March is celebrated as Youth Art Month, and two artists from Indian Lake Middle School are being honored at the state level.
Lilly Hines, a sixth-grader, was chosen as an honored artist for the 42nd Annual Youth Art Month Exhibition with a 3-D cake drawing.
Eighth-grader Tucker Tracy was selected for the 42nd Annual Young People’s Art Exhibition with a “selfie” drawing.
Both events are sponsored by the Ohio Art Education Association with each exhibition featuring 95 works of art from students in grades K through eight across Ohio.
There are eight regions in Ohio representing the OAEA.
Indian Lake Middle School art teacher Rebecca Dotson, along with Lilly and Tucker will be honored during the second annual Virtual Young People’s Art Exhibition and Youth Art Month Receptions later this month.
The art will be on display at Indian Lake Middle School this month. Matting for the projects was donated by Rick Fuller the owner of Framing by Fuller in Huntsville.
