An inmate at the Logan County Jail has been identified as a suspect in an investigation into suboxone that reportedly was taken into the 284 S. County Road 32 detention facility.
Logan County Sheriff’s Office corrections officers first received reports of alleged suboxone in the facility on March 16.
Through conducting inmate interviews, the suspect was identified and officials noted he had been working at the Logan County Solid Waste Management District through a special work detail. The inmate since has been removed from that assignment.
The named suspect also reportedly failed a drug screen, testing positive for suboxone and cocaine. Wednesday, he reportedly refused to speak with deputies about the situation, but did admit to using drugs while incarcerated at the jail.
A report has been forwarded to the Logan County Prosecutor’s Office regarding a possible charge of illegal conveyance of drugs into a detention facility.
