Cody Coil, 28, of Kenton, was arrested on two outstanding felony warrants and officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department charged him with multiple additional drug charges following an incident that occurred around 5:30 p.m., Saturday, June 17, in the area of 513 Hamilton Street.
Officers on patrol observed a vehicle driven by Coil abruptly speed along an alleyway after seeing law enforcement and park in the alley. A registration check showed the driver’s license was suspended and officers made contact with the driver, Coil.
Police confirmed two failure to appear warrants, and a search of the car revealed a number THC vape cartridges, marijuana-laced edibles and wax cartridges. In all, a total of 319 grams of suspected drugs were pulled from the vehicle.
Coil was lodged in the Logan County Jail on the warrants for failure to appear, and was charged additionally with three felony counts of possession of drugs.
