The Bellefontaine Hilliker youth swim team tested itself in a big way last weekend as it competed in the 10-team Springfield Invitational.
The Hilliker squad saw many of its members finish in the top 25 in their events.
For the girls team in the 7-8 age division, Chloe O’Chocke was 20th in the 25 butterfly and 23rd in the 50 freestyle.
In the 9-10 age group, Montana Coleman finished 24th in the 100 freestyle and Aurelia Maurer placed 24th in the 25 backstroke and Fiona Sweeney was 20th in the 100 freestyle, 24th in the 50 butterfly and 25th in the 100 individual medley.
For the 11-12 girls age group, Annika Chappell was third in the 200 backstroke, ninth in the 200 individual medley and 21st in the 100 freestyle and Gillian Steele finished 17th in the 200 individual medley and 24th in the 50 breaststroke.
In the 13-14 age division, Laney Craig placed 18th in the 200 individual medley, 20th in the 100 breaststroke, 23rd in the 100 butterfly and 24th in the 100 freestyle and Zoephia Rister finished 19th in the 100 breaststroke and 21st in the 100 freestyle.
On the boys side, in the 7-8 age division, Nevada Coleman placed sixth in the 50 backstroke, 13th in the 25 freestyle, 13th in the 50 freestyle and 14th in the 25 backstroke, Caleb Hudson finished seventh in the 25 backstroke, 10th in the 50 freestyle and 10th in the 25 butterfly and Caleb Rister placed 14th in the 25 freestyle.
In the 9-10 age group, Grady Feasel placed 11th in the 50 breaststroke, 13th in the 50 freestyle and 13th in the 100 individual medley, Thomas Jones was 12th in the 50 breaststroke, 13th in the 50 butterfly, 13th in the 50 backstroke, 14th in the 100 individual medley and 19th in the 50 freestyle and Hudson Maurer finished 11th in the 50 backstroke, 14th in the 50 breaststroke and 16th in the 50 freestyle.
For the 11-12 age division, Utah Coleman finished 15th in the 100 backstroke, 17th in the 100 freestyle and 22nd in the 50 backstroke, Cody Hudson finished fifth in the 100 breaststroke, 17th in the 50 backstroke and 18th in the 50 freestyle and Liam Sweeney placed fifth in the 50 freestyle, fifth in the 50 backstroke, sixth in the 100 freestyle, sixth in the 100 butterfly, seventh in the 100 backstroke, ninth in the 100 individual medley and 12th in the 50 breaststroke.
In the 13-14 age group, Nolan Core took sixth in the 100 butterfly, ninth in the 200 individual medley, 11th in the 50 freestyle, 11th in the 100 backstroke, 12th in the 100 freestyle and 15th in the 100 breaststroke.
