Urbana’s volleyball team battled its way to a three-set victory over host Bellefontaine on Wednesday 25-23, 25-19, 25-18 for a Central Buckeye Conference win.

The Chieftains fall to 1-13 overall and 1-8 in the CBC, while the Hillclimbers move their record to 5-10, 2-7.
Hannah Rader led Bellefontaine’s efforts with four kills, two aces and 10 digs, Laney Yoder tallied seven kills and four blocks, Mikayla Stepp had 10 assists, Madi Daily had nine assists and Madi Jackson added two aces and nine digs.
In junior varsity action, Bellefontaine won in two sets 25-21, 25-21.
Bellefontaine travels to Tecumseh on Tuesday for more CBC action.
