Efforts to establish a Harley-Davidson dealership in Logan County have failed to take deep root, forcing the business to close.
Brian Cubbage, owner and general manager of High Point Harley-Davidson, said the store at 643 Stockyard Road will host its last day of operation July 2.
“The market has changed,” he said today. “It takes more business and a good base of repeat customers to keep an operation like this up and running.
“We opened in 2005 and, in 2009, expanded and invested $400,000 in the current location with the full intention of staying here. We gave it a fair try.”
