Helen Louise Allman, 81, of DeGraff, passed away Jan. 12, 2019, at her home surrounded by loved ones. Helen was born in Bel Air, Md., on April 28, 1937, to the late Graham and Sina Long Rutherford. Helen was also preceded in death by five sisters; one brother; one son, Thomas Allman; and one daughter, Erika Allman.
Helen is survived by her husband of nearly 62 years, Okey Allman, whom she married May 31, 1957, in Havre de Grace, Md. Helen is also survived by four children, Judith Smyth, Barbara (Charles) Crall, Michael (Tracy) Allman and Gelinda Allman; one daughter-in-law, Tammy Allman; 11 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; one sister; and one brother.
Helen retired from Odd Lots in 1994. Helen loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved traveling to West Virginia to the family farm where she enjoys playing rummy with her family. Helen loved to watch soap operas, Hallmark movies and wrestling.
Helen will be cremated by the Adams Funeral Home, Sidney, and her ashes buried in the cemetery in Rock Cave, W.Va. There are no services.
