Plants and flowers were featured in a number of them. The Helping Hands club had plants growing from pots and used baby photos of club members at the base of the stalk which grew to include their current photos on flowers. An apple tree in the middle had traits 4-H develops in members listed on apples, including confidence, friendship, responsibility, loyalty, service and leadership.
The Harper Kids used a giant bean stalk to show growth and decorated the booth walls with cotton clouds.
Signs in pots of herbs and flowers declared “thanks for your ‘thyme’ ” and “commit-mint” as members declared “4-H grows everywhere in Logan County.”
The Willing Workers said “4-H Sews and Grows Here” as members’ pictures in their project garments or with their projects were on on flowers.
