Prosecutors were able to obtain a multi-count indictment Tuesday charging a 15-year-old West Mansfield area teen for alleged sexual assaults of four girls.
Jordan Griffin, 23800 Davis Road, who has been in custody since Oct. 25, has been named in a Logan County grand jury indictment charging him with two counts of rape and three counts of gross sexual imposition involving the first known victim; two counts of GSI on the second victim; GSI for a third victim; and GSI for a fourth.
All of the counts carry a serious youthful offender specification which Logan County Prosecutor Eric Stewart’s office will use to seek a blended sentence in Logan County Juvenile Court.
Blended sentences allow a judge to impose juvenile sanctions and adult sanctions after conviction.
The accused are entitled to a jury trial.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office began investigating Jordan after the first victim’s mother reported an incident of sexual abuse on Oct. 24.
Investigators, along with Logan County Children’s Services caseworkers, found three more girls who were allegedly victimized by the suspect while riding on a Benjamin Logan Local School District school bus.
Accusations of rape involve actions that qualify as sexual conduct and it does not have to involve intercourse. Gross sexual imposition is defined as sexual contact.
