Gary Lee Wray, 68 of Urbana, passed away on Friday, March 12, 2021 in Columbus, surrounded by his daughters, their spouses, and his grandchildren.
Gary was born April 16, 1952 in Urbana, to the late Wilbur Jr. and Peggy (Kalb) Wray.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Janie James and grandparents; Wilbur (Clara) Wray and Helen (Ralph) Hayden.
Gary is survived by his daughters; Amy (Jerome) Armstrong and Katie (AJ) Wray, grandchildren; Taylor, Tessa Jane, and Tate Armstrong, and brother-in-law, John James.
In his freetime, Gary enjoyed watching all sports with deep loyalty to the Browns and Buckeyes.
Anyone visiting Gary’s home was certain to find him watching a western, a sports game, or listening to classic rock music. Gary selflessly served our country for six years in Vietnam with the United States Air Force.
Gary belonged to a family of bowlers, continuing the family tradition by bowling throughout his adulthood. He also retired from Honda after more than 30 years.
