Tractors and assorted farm equipment lined State Route 235 Friday as Jay Strayer, 55, of DeGraff, was laid to rest following an Oct. 4 tractor accident. Jay was an employee of AGC where he had worked for 33 years. He was a member of the Farm Bureau and Logan County Antique Tractor Association and volunteered with Union Township. He also supported and contributed to the Riverside High School FFA. Approximately 70 vehicles were a part of Friday’s procession from the Winner Harvest Barn, 7317 State Route 47, to the Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff. Local farmers stood at attention as the procession made its way along S.R. 235. Dozens of tractors were parked along state routes 47 and 235 in honor of his memory. (EXAMINER PHOTO | NATE SMITH)
