A timely hands-on lesson culminated at Bellefontaine Elementary School Friday with the First-Grade Economics Fair.
First-graders have been learning about needs, wants, goods and services in the economy.
Students had the chance to earn play money for completing their work and making good choices in recent weeks. The learning unit concluded Friday with the First-Grade Fair.
Pupils could shop for loved ones at the Santa Shop, enjoy a snack, decorate a treat, make a craft, have their nails painted, get a temporary tattoo or even play basketball, utilizing their play money to pay for the items and activities.
First-grade families donated items for the Santa Shop. The Bellefontaine Middle School Chieftain Pride Ambassadors also assisted at the First-Grade Fair.
