Boat show booth to benefit Indian Joint Fire District
Attendees of this year’s Indian Lake Boat Show can feel a little less guilty getting a funnel cake or order of loaded tater tots knowing their purchase is helping save lives on the water.

Joe Freyhof, chief of the Russells Point Police Department and a volunteer firefighter with the Indian Joint Fire District, is setting up his funnel cake trailer at the annual boating expo and all proceeds will benefit the fire district that serves Russells Point and Washington Township.
The department also responds with a dive team and three boats to water rescues on Indian Lake during the boating season.
“Some departments have gun raffles or fish fries, but this is something different we thought we could do,” Mr. Freyhof said. “We thought it would be a way to capitalize on a crowd that is already here.”
