Rain and strong winds temporarily halted harness racing Wednesday night at the Logan County Fair, but all 11 races were able to go off on the final evening of this year’s program.

Racing was stopped after the seventh race as the clouds darkened and rain began. After a brief break, the final four races were squeezed in.
Driver Jack Dailey had a memorable night with four wins. Dailey was victorious with Grady D in the fourth, Standing Proud in the seventh, Brando in the ninth and with Stand Tall in the 11th.
Pierce Henry and Scott Cisco each drove to two wins.
In the fifth race, Cisco drove Dirty Steve to a win in a 2-year-old colt pace that nearly set the track’s pace record at 1:58 3/5.
Cisco also won with Lucky With The Ladies in the first race.
Henry’s victories came with McFehr in the third race and with Harvard’s Z Tam in the 10th.
Although the harness racing program was abbreviated from three nights to two this year, it was not short on highlights.
The track’s trot record was broken Tuesday on the first night of racing as Michigan-based horse Rompaway Beau crossed the line in 2:01 3/5 in the 10th race, bettering the mark of 2:02 set by Lucky Lightning in 2001.
Henry was the top driver for the week with five wins.
