Washington Township Police continue to investigate a fight at 2:42 a.m. Saturday at the Village Pantry, 209 State Route 708, Russells Point, where witnesses told officers arriving on the scene one suspect had a gun.
Police broke up a fight between Jeremy J. Myers, 22, of 11400 Powhatan Path, Lakeview, and Roger Spires, 43, of 8496 County Road 97, Belle Center, that witnesses said continued from an earlier confrontation beginning at Captain’s Point in Lakeview.
Onlookers told police Myers had threatened to shoot Mr. Spires. Police did recover a loaded 9mm handgun from a vehicle belonging to Mr. Myer’s girlfriend, Stacy Turner, 19, of Lakeview, who was cited for underage consumption.
Mr. Myers, who was wearing a gun holster at the time of his arrest, was charged with possession of a firearm while intoxicated, carrying a concealed weapon without a permit, improper handling of a firearm, an open container violation and public intoxication. He was taken to the Logan County Jail.
Two other men, Michael Robinson Jr., 20, of 7918 County Road 54, Lewistown, and Jacob L. Houchin, 20, of 10978 State Route 117, Belle Center, each was cited for underage consumption, They and Ms. Turner were released to sober adult family members.
Logan County Sheriff’s deputies assisted at the scene.
