KIPKER |
Terrance Kipker, 33, of 409 N. Detroit St., Bellefontaine, was served a felony warrant for a probation violation during an incident about 2:25 a.m. today.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department reportedly were patrolling in the area of west Chillicothe Avenue and Plumvalley Street when they observed two subjects walking in the area. The male and female pair then reportedly began running when officers approached on foot, and ran across Columbus Avenue to Garfield Avenue.
Officers were able to detain the woman, who told officers that Kipker said if he was caught, he would be “going away for a long time.”
A perimeter was set up along Plumvalley Street and the K-9 unit also responded to help track the suspect. Officers eventually located Kipker in a nearby wooded area. He was arrested and transported to the Logan County Jail.
• Officers also served a warrant about 7 p.m. Tuesday to Jamie L. Harrington, 22, of 604 Florence Ave., Bellefontaine, for misdemeanor theft. He was lodged in the jail.
