The Logan County Farm Bureau announced that the third year of the Logan County Agriculture Impact Fund grants are now available, with submissions accepted beginning Sept. 1 and continuing through a deadline of Oct. 16
The grant program was created by funds raised from the Logan County Farm Bureau’s Agriculture Impact Fund Reverse Raffle event.
The purpose of the grant fund is to support projects and events that will expand and grow agriculture’s footprint in the county and encourage youth development in agriculture.
Grants will be offered to any organization in Logan County that promotes the well-being, and enrichment of youth involved in the agriculture community of the county.
The grants will be evaluated on a competitive basis and projects submitted for the grant must be completed by the 2021 year-end.
Upon submission, grant applications will go through two review committees and recipients will be notified by Dec. 1 regarding their success in the application process.
Completed project reports will be due to the committee by Nov. 30 of the following year and the final payment will be processed.
In the previous two years of the program, the county was able to award more than $31,000 in grants for agriculture projects in the county, including helping the Ohio Hi-Point Career Centers Animal Science Programs start a bee program for study, and funding the large fan in the new show arena at the Logan County Fairground.
The grant application is located at the Farm Bureau website, www.ofbf.org/counties/logan or by request.
Direct questions to the county’s Organization Director Jill Smith at jsmith regarding the application or call the Farm Bureau office at (877) 775-7642 for assistance.
