Evelyn “Eve” Wilkins, 91, of Findlay, went home to Heaven on Friday, Nov. 22, 2019, at
Bridge Hospice, Findlay. She is rejoicing in the presence of her Lord and Savior and in the arms of Richard, her husband of 63 years.
After meeting at the age of 11, having never dated another, Eve and Richard were married Feb. 1, 1945, until his passing on Jan. 13, 2011. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Bernard and Elwood Ike. Eve is survived by a daughter, Beverle (Bob) Yoder; three sons, James (Ann), Jon, Timothy (Robin), and Rob (Melanie) Wilkins; nine grandchildren, Robin Lager, Bethany Allen, Tanya Height, James Wilkins, Jonathan Wilkins, Tabitha Stevens, Taylor Wilkins, Ethan Wilkins, and Annalyse Perez; and 13 (soon to be 14) great grandchildren.
In addition to caring for her children and grandchildren, loving each uniquely, she also served as manager of the Hello Shop in Findlay, and in Lorain, where she earned a reputation as an excellent manager and caring employer.
Evelyn was actively involved in the ministry of the church her entire life. Her faith empowered her to do what she did best — shape and invest in the lives of nearly everyone she encountered.
