Eunice Ann Yoder, 87, of DeGraff, passed away at 4:07 p.m. on Friday, July 20, 2018 at Hospice of Miami County, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Bellefontaine on Dec. 21, 1930, a daughter of the late Charles W. and Martha McColloch Stevens.
On Feb. 27, 1949, in DeGraff, she married Charles Edward “Bud” Yoder and he preceded her in death Nov. 15, 2011. She also was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Herren; and a granddaughter-in-law, Rachel Kinninger.
She is survived by three children, Steve (Judy) Yoder of South Charleston, Pam (Joe) Kinninger of Sidney and Patti (Gary) Leiss of Quincy; seven grandchildren, Lisa (Scott) Hart, Amy (Cliff) Mott, Beth (Rocky) Bryan, Adam (Jennifer) Kinninger, Michael Kinninger, Dustin (Sarah Brown) Leiss and Megan (Mike) Melnyk; seven great-grandchilren, Nathan Yelton, Matthew Mott, Charlotte Bryan, Katherine Bryan, Eva Bryan, Evelyn Kinninger and Ethan Kinninger; one great-great grandson, Zentely Yelton; a half-brother, Chuck Stevens of DeGraff; and several nieces and nephews.
Eunice was a long-time member of the DeGraff United Methodist Church. She taught kindergarten at the American Legion in DeGraff from 1960 to1966 and later volunteered with the Mary Rutan Hospital Guild. She enjoyed sewing, watching sports, camping and fishing with her husband, and spending time with her family.
After her husband’s retirement, they spent 18 winters in Tavares, Fla., where she directed the church choir.
Pastor Mike Mitchell officiates a funeral service at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, at Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 210 W. Hayes St., DeGraff, where visitation is two hours prior to the service.
Burial is in Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff.
