The fifth annual Empty Bowls of Logan County event returns from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 3, at the Ohio Hi-Point Career Center, to benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank of Logan County Mobile Pantry and its local member agency food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters.
Organizers of the event hope to raise $10,000 this year to continue services to food-insecure residents of Logan County, while adding new programs to combat child hunger in the community.
Empty Bowls participants receive a handcrafted bowl and a simple meal of soup and bread for $15 donation per person.
