Longtime community leader and volunteer, Charles R. Earick was recognized Monday evening by Mary Rutan Foundation with its meritorious service award presented at the annual meeting of Mary Rutan Health Association.

The honor is in recognition of substantial contributions to the health and well being of the community, while placing service to humanity ahead of personal gain or recognition.
A native of Logan County, Earick returned to his hometown after college and military service to work and raise his family. He has volunteered on numerous community boards and assisted many agencies and organization, including 26 years of volunteer service to MRH that began in 1988 as a member of the Logan View Board, a position he held until He continued as a member of the Mary Rutan Health Association board from 1994-2000, 2001-2007 and from 2008-2014.
