Dustin Charles Reck, 29, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Dayton on Tuesday night, Aug. 15, 2017.
Born Feb. 9, 1988, Dustin grew up in Bellefontaine and was a BHS graduate of 2006 before relocating to Dayton.
He was a skilled cook, an avid disc golf player, and enjoyed playing guitar and spending time with the family dogs. He was due to graduate from Fortis College as an HVAC technician in the fall.
Dustin was preceded in death by his mother, Teresa Thornton; an uncle, Jimmy Perdue; a nephew, Coltin Jones; and his brother, Joshua Reck.
He is survived by his paternal grandparents, Sharon and Jerry Johnson; his father and stepmother, Charles “Kenny” and Wasunan Reck; his stepfather and stepmother, David and Leann Thornton; his sisters, Danielle Jones, Tiffany Thornton and Ashley Thornton; and his son, Mason Tackett.
Funeral arrangements are to be announced.
