Heather L. Johns, 33, of 4877 County Road 130, Huntsville, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs related to an incident 1 a.m Sunday.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the area of Community Markets, 8793 Township Road 239, Lakeview, on a suspicious vehicle report. The vehicle reportedly had struck a wooden picnic table in the area.
When deputies arrived at the scene, the driver, Johns, reportedly was slumped over asleep in the vehicle. After she was awakened by deputies, she displayed signs of intoxication and submitted to field sobriety tests. She was transported to the Logan County Jail, where she submitted to a urine test, with test results pending.
Johns also was cited for a 12-point suspension.
Store employee issued summons for theft
Jessica M. Jenkins, 31, of 106 Walker St., DeGraff, was issued a summons for theft Friday related to a theft from her workplace, Oasis Drive Thru, 136 S. Main St.
Deputies spoke with the store manager Aug. 19, who reported that the business was missing several hundred dollars in cash and merchandise. Through store surveillance, Jenkins was identified as a suspect.
The defendant declined to provide a statement to deputies, and she was issued the summons.
