Members of the Logan County Unified Drug Task Force has concluded their investigation into an organized narcotic distribution group that was operating in and around the Indian Lake region.
Friday afternoon, the Task Force arrested Jamie K. Cook, 29; Bradley A. Vicory, 40; and Zachary J. Potter, 36, of Lakeview, for warrants for trafficking in methamphetamine.
They were lodged in the Logan County Jail.
The investigation was the result of a months-long investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine by the group and into their suppliers of methamphetamine.
Through their investigation, Task Force members found that the group was distributing large amounts of methamphetamine out of a home on Big Bear Path, in Lakeview, and were a large source of methamphetamine being sold in and around the Indian Lake region.
The Task Force has referred their investigation to the Logan County Prosecutor’s Office. Additional charges for all three defendants are pending.
Also as a result of this investigation, Shane Slagle, 40, of Bellefontaine was arrested Nov. 19, during a traffic stop for an arrest warrant for trafficking in methamphetamine, as previously reported in the Examiner.
During that traffic stop in West Liberty, a large amount of methamphetamine and other narcotics were recovered. The investigation had revealed that Slagle was traveling to the Dayton area in order to bring back large amounts of meth and was a source of supply of the drug for the group arrested Friday.
