Trent S. Pringle, 25, of Lakeview, was transported by BMRT EMS to Lima Memorial Health System for treatment of suspected serious injuries sustained in a single-vehicle crash Friday evening.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report he was operating a northbound car on State Route 117 near State Route 273 about 9:40 p.m. when he traveled off the east side of the road into the ditch, striking a telephone pole.
Deputies said alcohol impairment is suspected as a factor in the crash. The driver was not wearing his seat belt, according to the crash report. Damage was heavy to the car, which was towed from the scene.
• Kinell L. Dennis, 20, of Ridgeway, was transported by Rushcreek EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment suspected minor injuries sustained in a crash about 8:55 p.m. Sunday.
Her 1-year-old passenger also was transported by private vehicle to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment of possible injuries.
Deputies report she was operating a northbound 2011 Honda Civic in the 7200 block of Township Road when she swerved to miss a deer and failed to negotiate a curve, traveling off the left side of the road, striking a tree.
The driver was wearing her seat belt and her passenger was properly restrained in a child safety seat. She was cited for failure to control.
• David Schwartz, 16, of Maplewood, reported minor injuries in a pickup and horse and buggy crash Sunday evening, but he was not transported from the scene.
He was a passenger in a horse and buggy operated by Joseph Schwartz, 20, of Maplewood, in the 9:50 p.m. crash.
Deputies report Shaun P. Hatfield, 43, of Maplewood, was operating a westbound 2005 GMC Sierra on State Route 47 near County Road 23 and struck the rear of the westbbound buggy operated by Joseph Schwartz.
No other injuries were reported. Hatfield was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance Damage was heavy to the buggy and light to the pickup.
