Austin H. Furrow, 23, of West Liberty, was transported by Macochee EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment of suspected minor injuries sustained in a crash Saturday, Nov. 19.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report he was operating a westbound 2002 Chevrolet S-10 pickup about 3:10 p.m. on State Route 287 near Township Road 150 and failed to negotiate a curve, traveling off the right side of the road, striking a group of trees and coming to rest on its side.
Damage was heavy to the pickup, which was towed from the scene. Furrow was cited for failure to control and was wearing his seat belt.
• Deputies also responded to a weather-related, non-injury crash about 6:45 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, on S.R. 287 near State Route 559.
Savannah R. Allen, 19, of Conover, reportedly was operating a northbound 2000 Honda CR-V during icy conditions and traveled off the left side of the road, striking a utility pole. Damage was heavy to the vehicle and no citations were reported.
• Driver Cas A. Warnecke, 34, of Bellefontaine, and his two juvenile passengers did not report any injuries during a crash in snowy conditions Friday, Nov. 18.
Deputies report he was operating a northbound 2009 Ford F-150 about 7 a.m. on County Road 28 near C.R. 287 when he traveled off the left side of the road, striking a tree.
Damage was heavy to the pickup, which was towed from the scene. No citations were issued.
• Anthony A. Hill, 21, of Springfield, was cited for failure to control related to a non-injury crash about 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20.
Deputies report he was operating an eastbound 2018 Chevrolet Traverse in the 6300 block of Township Road 163 when he crested the hill and then applied the brakes, sliding on the icy roadway. The vehicle went off the left side of the road and struck a tree. Damage was light to the vehicle.
