John R. Conner, 21, of Belle Center, was transported by Perry Township EMS to the OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus for treatment of non-incapacitating injuries sustained in a crash early this morning.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report he was operating a northbound sport utility vehicle about 2:10 a.m. on State Route 292 just south of County Road 119 when he went off the left side of the road on a curve, struck a utility pole and then went into a ditch.
The SUV reportedly overturned and then came to rest in a field.
According to the crash report, the driver was not wearing his seat belt, and a failure to control citation is pending contact with the driver.
The vehicle sustained heavy damage and was towed from the scene.
• Ceron L. Warfield, 28, of Dayton, was transported by Indian Lake EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment of non-incapacitating injuries sustained in a three-vehicle crash about 3:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Deputies report he was operating a northbound car on State Route 235 and ran the stop sign at State Route 720. His car struck the passenger side of an eastbound car in the intersection operated by Molly B. Hurley, 19, of Waynesfield.
The Hurley vehicle spun and struck a westbound pickup operated by Dakota A. Trout, 21, of Lakeview, that was stopped at the stop sign.
Hurley and Trout did not report any injuries.
Damage was heavy to the Warfield and Hurley vehicles, which were towed from the scene.
The pickup sustained moderate damage.
Deputies report Warfield was distracted by a cellular phone, and he was cited for a stop sign violation. Each of the drivers was wearing a seat belt.
