Blaine S. Fischer, 51, of Middleburg was transported by Macochee EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment of suspected minor injuries sustained in a one-vehicle crash Saturday evening.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report he was operating an eastbound 2006 Honda CR-V in the 2900 block of County Road 29 about 8:10 p.m. He reportedly failed to negotiate a curve and traveled off the left side of the road, striking a ditch.
The sport utility vehicle then traveled back onto the road and exited the right side of the road, striking a brush line and coming to a rest.
According to the crash report, the driver was not wearing his seat belt. Fischer was cited for failure to control and damage was light to the SUV.
Dog at large summons issued
Heath P. Murphy, 42 of 32 County Road 57, Bellefontaine, was issued a summons for dog at large relating to an incident Tuesday morning.
The Logan County dog warden responded to a call about 8 a.m. regarding a smaller dog running loose along C.R. 57.
The dog was not initially located, but about 10 a.m., another resident along C.R. 57 reported finding the dog..
Deputies contacted the registered owner of the dog and issued the summons.
