Carlos Aparicio, 38, of 429 E. Brown Ave., was charged Monday with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and cited for open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, failure to drive in the marked lanes of the road, an improper turn, failure to use turn signals and failure to use a safety belt.
Around 11 p.m., officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department responded to reports of a possible drunk driver in a pickup truck. They observed the defendant driving northbound in the 500 block of south Main Street and observed several violations.
He was stopped in the 100 block of east Auburn Avenue. Neither the driver nor his passenger was using a safety belt.
The driver appeared to be intoxicated and was taken into custody. A breath sample of 0.245 was collected as part of the investigation.
Two men lodged
Seth A. Anderson, 23, of 229 N. Detroit St., and Charles E. Anderson, 44, of 300 N. Detroit St., Apt. D, each was charged Monday with persistant disorderly conduct.
The two argued and cursed each other as an officer was trying to diffuse the 3 p.m. altercation outside the Detroit Street residence.
Both were arrested and lodged in jail.
