Tammy D. Mueller, 57, of 509 E. Sandusky Ave., was charged Wednesday with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and was cited for a red light violation after a 12:05 a.m. traffic stop.
An officer of the Bellefontaine Police Department observed her drive past a red light at Madriver Street and Columbus Avenue. Upon contact with the driver, the officer detected a strong odor of alcohol.
Field sobriety tests indicated she was impaired and the officer took her to the police department to submit a breath test. Her results came back at 0.114.
Women face theft charges
Andrea L. Reid, 34, and Jamie L. Rogan, 56, both of 109 W. Auburn Ave., each was charged Wednesday with theft. Ms. Rogan also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
The women were stopped by Wal-Mart security staff around 5:40 p.m. after they attempted to leave without paying for a coat, two pair of jeans and two shirts. They had concealed the jeans and shirts in a large purse while Ms. Reid was wearing the coat as they tried to leave the 2281 S. Main St. store.
Ms. Rogan handed over to officers a metal pipe commonly used for smoking crack cocaine.
