Sebastian B. Finch, 16, of Bellefontaine, was cited Wednesday after a crash around 1:15 p.m. for failure to yield while turning left at Ludlow Road and Lake Avenue.
He was attempting to turn from eastbound Lake onto northbound Ludlow when his car died. He was unable to easily stop or steer his car and it crossed into the path of a westbound sport utility vehicle driven by Tracy J. Huffman, 42, of Bellefontaine, who was exiting the Bellefontaine City Schools property.
Damage was heavy.
