Anthony T. Burke, 22, of New Albany, was charged Sunday with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and cited for failure to drive in the marked lanes of the road.
Around 2:05 a.m., he was observed driving eastbound on U.S. Route 33 in the city limits and the vehicle traveled past the white fog line to the right several times.
He was stopped at State Route 540. Officers detected an odor of alcohol as they talked with him.
Field sobriety tests indicated he was under the influence and he was taken into custody.
He refused to submit a breath test.
Resident falls for scam
Officers are investigating a report of a man claiming he was with Dayton, Power & Light Co. and who scammed a Saxon Drive resident out of $80 on Tuesday.
