Roger D. Arnold II, 50, of 12994 County Road 153, East Liberty, was charged with obstructing justice, persistent disorderly conduct and having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle following an incident Sunday evening.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded about 8:35 p.m. to C.R. 153 near Mr. Arnold’s residence after he called the sheriff’s office to report that he had gotten his vehicle stuck in the ditch.
When deputies arrived at the scene, Mr. Arnold refused to answer questions about the accident and became argumentative. Deputies observed that his vehicle had struck a culvert, and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
The defendant also was cited for failure to control and was transported to the Logan County Jail.
• Whitney N. Jenkins, 21, of 9692 Township Road 71, Quincy, was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs following an incident early Sunday morning.
Deputies responded to a report of a domestic dispute about 1:40 a.m. at 637 N. Township Road 46, Bellefontaine, which involved Ms. Jenkins’ father, Key Jenkins, and another individual. Troopers of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol also responded to the call, where no injuries were reported.
After deputies arrived, Mr. Jenkins reportedly called his daughter to pick him up. When she arrived, deputies and troopers observed that she displayed signs of intoxication.
She was administered field sobriety tests, and at the jail, she tested a 0.144 blood alcohol content level. Ms. Jenkins then was released to a sober person.
Bar patron arrested for public indecency
Kyle L. Gasson, 26, of Ft. Loramie, was charged with public indecency following an incident Saturday evening at Froggy’s, 11065 Township Road 293, Lakeview.
A deputy working a security detail at the establishment was alerted about 7:50 p.m. that a patron in the parking lot was urinating while facing the roadway and his actions were visible to passing motorists and pedestrians.
The deputy located the patron, who was identified as Mr. Gasson. He was transported to the jail.
