An employee of the Varsity Drive-Thru, 1324 S. Main St., was arrested for theft Friday after a manager reported the business had gathered video evidence against the suspect, officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department report.
Lindsay A. Cummings, 20, of 504 Eastern Ave., was arrested about 4:15 p.m. after the manager reported the incident earlier in the day.
Ms. Cummings was seen on video taking cigarettes for herself and giving cigarettes to people who came through the drive-through without paying for them, officers report.
Domestic violence charge filed
Samantha J. Hampton, 33, was issued a summons for domestic violence after officers responded at 7:30 p.m. Thursday to her 224 S. Detroit St., Apt. 1, residence.
She reportedly struck her husband, William Hampton, in the nose during an argument. She admitted striking Mr. Hampton but said it was an accident.
