The intersection of Main Street and Sandusky Avenue is among the list of downtown-area roads scheduled for road work beginning Monday, August 10 thought Thursday, Aug. 13, Bellefontaine city officials report. The city of Bellefontaine and the Shelly Company will be conducting paving operations in the downtown Bellefontaine next week of Aug. 10-14. Milling of the roadway begins Monday on west Columbus Avenue at the railroad tracks and proceeds eastbound to Madriver Street. Milling of Main Street begins Tuesday at the intersection of Sandusky Avenue and proceeds southbound to Auburn Avenue. Paving of Columbus Avenue begins Wednesday. Main Street will be paved Thursday. Work crews will work one block at a time, only closing that block, and then move on to the next. No Parking signs will be placed in the downtown area Friday Aug. 7, prior to the work beginning designating the dates and hours that the no parking rules will be enforced. The Bellefontaine Municipal Court will remain open for business and all court appearances the week of Aug. 10 during the city’s scheduled downtown paving project.
