Don B. McGee, 99, of Bellefontaine, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022, at the Logan Acres Care Center.
He was born in Logan County, Ohio, on October 3, 1922, to the late Paul L. and Minnie (Queweweit) McGee. He is also preceded in death by his first wife, Alice May McGee; his second wife, Norma Miller; two daughters: Rebecca and Suellen Gray; and two sisters: Irene and Ruth.
He is survived by his significant other, Viola Bishop; stepdaughter, Linda (Joe) Galluzzo; grandchildren: Patrick (Cassie) Gray, Wesley (July) Gray, Brittany Gray; 6 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Don was a United States Army Veteran, was a member of the First Christian Church in Bellefontaine, where he was the oldest living member. He graduated in 1940 from Lakeview High School and loved to play BINGO and go to the casino.
Reverend Kevin Greenwald will officiate a memorial service at 2 p.m. Friday, January 21, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main Street, Bellefontaine. Visitation will be two hours prior from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bellefontaine Cemetery, where military rites will be performed by the Logan County Honor Guard.
