Logan County residents are reminded that 2018 dog tags are available at a discounted rate of $14 through the end of January, Logan County Commissioners report. They increase to $28 per dog Feb. 1.
All dog owners must have a properly licensed dog and owners found to be in violation can be cited. Dog tag fees are used to pay the county’s contract with the Humane Society of Union County to handle Logan County’s stray dogs.
Tags can be purchased at the Logan County Auditor’s Office, 100 S. Madriver St., from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays and at the following mobile stops around Logan County:
• DeGraff Village Office, 107 S. Main St.: 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9;
• Russells Point Rite Aid Pharmacy, 120 W. Main St.: 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11;
• Lakeview Winners Market, 13840 N. State Route 235: 2 to 5 p.m Tuesday, Jan. 16; and
• West Mansfield Fields Grocery, 139 W. Main St.: 2 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18.
