Amid other items of business to start a new year, Logan County Commissioners on Thursday named a resident expert on beekeeping.
Through a law that dates back to 1904, the Ohio Department of Agriculture requires counties to have a contract in place for a county apiarist, who is responsible for checking the health of the hives of fellow beekeepers throughout the county.
