Round Room LLC announced this week that its subsidiary, TCC, donated nearly $50,000 to child-centered nonprofit organizations across the nation to celebrate its annual Kids Rock initiative.
Bellefontaine-based nonprofit Discovery Riders is one of the recipients of the national donation campaign and received $2,000 from its local TCC store.
This year marked the third annual Kids Rock initiative from TCC, where participating stores selected a local nonprofit that benefits kids, such as children’s hospitals, boys and girls clubs and summer camps. Donations took place for 23 total nonprofits in late May.
“Uplifting our communities and younger generations is part of our business philosophy with the purpose to make the world a better place,” said Scott Moorehead, CEO of Round Room, parent company of TCC.
“Our Kids Rock program is very meaningful to the TCC family. We have a history of giving back to kids and making a positive impact on their lives, and we are so excited to accomplish this for the third year in succession through Kids Rock.”
Kids Rock comes just after TCC stores across the nation delivered lunches to nurses in honor of National Nurses Day, and marks the sixth initiative of TCC’s 10 Days of Giving Campaign, a company-wide celebration where the company will perform 10 acts of giving for its customers, employees and communities.
The countdown campaign culminates in TCC’s 10th annual School Rocks Backpack Giveaway, which takes place later this summer. Since 2013, TCC has donated more than 1.2 million backpacks full of school supplies to students as part of the School Rocks Backpack Giveaway.
Round Room operates 1,267 TCC and Wireless Zone stores across 43 states. Its portfolio of companies shares a deep commitment to improving the communities they serve nationwide.
