Derek Finley Notestine, 23, of Bellefontaine, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at his home.
He was born in Columbus on Oct. 18, 1993, the son of the late George Notestine and of Rosetta Marx Notestine, who survives in Sandy Hook, Ky.
In March 2014, he married the former Courtney Arbogast and she survives along with their two daughters, Arianna and Sora Notestine; one full sister, Tiffany Notestine; three half-sisters, Heather Notestine, Holly Dooley and Jenny Notestine; and three half-brothers, Brock Notestine, Richie Trent and Duane Trent; great-grandmother, Minnie Marx; mother-in-law, Cheri (John) Stevens; brother-in-law, Kodi Smotherman; sister-in-law, Hannah Reprogle; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Derek worked for NEX Transport. His passion was playing video games. He was a great husband and father and loved spending all his time with his wife, daughters and family.
Pastor Bill Riley officiates a memorial service at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 17, at the First Church of God in Russells Point, followed by lunch at the home of his grandmother-in-law, Debbie Bowers, 255 Market St., Lakeview.
