DeGraff driver Jason Purtee won the 100-lap feature of the Van Hoy Oil Shootout for the hobby stocks to highlight racing Saturday at Shady Bowl Speedway.
A full field of 18 cars took to the track for the event. On lap 31, Purtee grabbed the lead.
Dustin Sapp went out front just past the halfway point, but Purtee stayed close and eventually took the lead back on lap 79.
Purtee held on the rest of the way to earn the win and the $1,000 first-place prize. A.J. Stewart was second, with Earl Adams third, Jamison Owens fourth and Justin Feight fifth.
Sapp set fast time with a 15.483 lap. Adams won the hard charger award and Randy Hoppes received the hard luck award.
