It’s a wonder Joshwa Moon’s voice doesn’t get sore.

The vocalist of the hardcore metal music group Hostile, and his band mates are starting to make quite the name for themselves among heavy metal fans both at their increasingly wellattended live shows, and in the online space where their selftitled, seven song EP has logged more than 110,000 streams on Spotify, in addition to thousands more digital downloads.
Moon is a DeGraff native and a 2004 graduate of Riverside High School. He and his wife reside now in South Bend, Ind., and it was that Hoosier state connection that led Moon to try out for the Goshen, Ind.-based band in June 2018.
“After joining the band, we were only playing locally,” Moon said. “I didn’t really know many people in the area at the time, and this would be an opportunity to do what I loved doing again.”
