Jacksons named grand marshals
Lifelong Logan County residents Howard “Bud” and Jenean Jackson have been named the grand marshals for the 2016 DeGraff Country Fair parade, which begins at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27.
Line-up for the parade starts at noon Saturday at Riverside Local Schools.
The annual DeGraff Country Fair is slated for Thursday, Aug. 25, through Saturday, Aug. 27, and features a variety of activities for area residents, from pageants to a 5K run, rides, musical entertainment, talent show, along with baked goods, photography and horticulture contests.
Mr. and Mrs. Jackson have lived in the DeGraff community for 57 of their 64 years of marriage, residing on a 100-acre farm, “Hilltop Acres,” where they raised corn, beans, livestock, and their four children and a niece and nephew. Their family has grown to include 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
