An extended investigation into a fentanyl trafficking operation has yielded a guilty plea to a second-degree felony in Logan County Common Pleas Court.
Savannea Daniels, 30, of Bellefontaine, pleaded guilty recently to a second-degree felony count of aggravated trafficking in drugs and will be sentenced April 2.
A grand jury had previously indicted her on a total of eight charges that included felony trafficking in cocaine and fentanyl. She was originally arrested by officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department, along with members of the Logan County Unified Drug Task Force.
Police officers and task force investigators served a search warrant on a residence where the defendant had been staying. Packaging materials commonly associated with narcotics trafficking, a digital scale with drug residue and other drug paraphernalia were located and seized during the search.
She pleaded guilty to helping to traffic in large quantities of fentanyl into Bellefontaine and Logan County.
