The board will vote on the proposed trip at their next regular meeting, 6:30 p.m. Monday, March 11.
Rychener said a total of 18 students have qualified for the state competition — the Ohio DECA Career Development Conference at the Columbus Convention Center on March 15 and 16. While it is uncertain whether any students will qualify for the international conference, the adviser said there is a quick turnaround from the state competition to the registration date for the international event, so she wanted to present her trip request ahead of time.
During the DECA District 3 competition Feb. 6 at The University of Findlay, 20 students from BHS competing against 300 students from Upper Sandusky, Lima, St. Marys, Millstream/Findlay, Bucyrus, Carey and Sidney.
