Dawn E. Wenger, 67, was received into the arms of her loving Savior on Friday, September 3, 2021, at Riverside Methodist Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Dawn was born December 12, 1953 in Bellefontaine to Ralph C. and the late Glendora Mae (Phelps) Keller. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Chuck, Terry, Bill and Shann, infant sister Sue and granddaughter Addison Jayne.
Dawn married her High School sweetheart and love of her life, Jerry, on February 12, 1972.
In addition to her loving husband, those left behind to cherish Dawn’s memory are her children, Stephen (Shannon) Wenger, Scott (Kara) Wenger, Stacey (John) Longshore, Seth (Meriah) Wenger and April Wenger; grandchildren, David (Domonique), Logan, Landon (Lucy), Emma, Estella, Lucy, Claire, Elise, Zeke, Lydiah, Wyatt, Ricky and Ethan; siblings, Carl, Justin (Soozie) and Mel (Ed); sister-in-law’s, Leni Keller and Susan Keller.
Dawn was a member of Goshen Friends Church for many years. She and Jerry raised their children by being amazing role models and most importantly teaching them to love and serve Jesus. Dawn was an owner of Wenger’s Produce with her husband, two sons and one grandson. What Dawn loved about the farm was her family working together. She also loved picking watermelon. Anyone who had ever visited Dawn would know she always had immaculate flower gardens.
She loved supporting her children and grandchildren in whatever they did. She taught them many lessons while making memories. She cherished teaching the grandchildren to sew and how to make pies. Dawn had a passion for sewing and quilting for her family and many others were touched by her beautiful work. There wasn’t anything she couldn’t make or fix. She loved to make the grandchildren Halloween costumes and making her granddaughters Easter dresses. She has made quilts that are all over the United States. Dawn was a loving wife, mother, nanny and friend. She will be missed greatly by all of those who loved her.
A Memorial Service will take place Sunday, September 12, at 3 p.m. at Goshen Friends Church, 5527 County Road 153, Zanesfield, OH 43360. A time of gathering for family and friends will take place following the service at the church.
