David Mark Losey, 70, of Bellefontaine passed away Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Kindred Hospital in Lima, OH.
David was born January 29, 1950 in Middleburg; the 6th of 7 children, to the late John and Margaret (Carpenter) Losey. On May 18, 1979 in Zanesfield he married his soulmate Nancy (Ebright) Losey.
David and his siblings learned about Jesus and hard work early in life. He attended Logan Hills School until his junior year when they moved to the “Big City” Bellefontaine. He graduated from Bellefontaine High School in 1968. David worked on the railroad for 14 years and after he was laid off he went to work at Honda of America, Marysville where he worked for 25 years before retiring in May of 2009. While at Honda, David started a Bible Study to help teach people about the Bible and Jesus. After retiring from Honda he also worked in maintenance at TRC for 2 years. David was always willing to help anyone who needed it. He loved farming, tractors, mushroom hunting, and taking pictures of nature. He also always kept his passion for trains and anything railroad related. David was a gentle, patient man who could speak to people about Jesus and always had a listening ear and wise words to help people through difficult moments. David was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Losey; children, Deanne (David) LaRoche, Matt (Libby) Losey, Karla (Robert) Scott, Valerie (Bryce) Hensley and Ben Losey; 13 grandchildren, Drayven, Harper and Kinsley Scott, Eric and Donnie LaRoche, Joel Bright, Colin Bright, and Adrian Hensley, Margaret, Kaitlynn and Lilly Losey, Eli Losey, Brooklyn Losey; siblings, John Carman (Carole) Losey, Carol (Charlotte) Losey, Mardell Godwin, Max (Jerri) Losey, Martha (Steve) Jenkins and June Losey; many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his son, Mark Losey; his parents.
A Funeral Service will take place Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
