Kyle K. Bulluck, 36, of 602 W. Chillicothe Ave., Bellefontaine, was issued a summons for menacing following an incident Sunday afternoon at Hine’s 57 Auto, 920 S. Detroit St.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department responded to that address about 2:35 p.m. in reference to a dispute between an employee and a customer.
When officers arrived, they were informed that Mr. Bulluck stopped at the business that day to pick up his vehicle, which he hooked up to a tow chain on another vehicle to tow off the property.
An employee said the defendant began yelling at him and then allegedly began swinging the tow chain at him and then dropped it. No injuries were reported.
Mr. Bulluck told officers he was unhappy with the work performed on his vehicle. He was issued the summons.
• Daniel E. Johnson, 35, of 308 N. Koke St., DeGraff, was issued a summons for theft following an incident Friday evening at Walmart, 2281 S. Main St., Bellefontaine.
Officers responded to the store about 7:35 p.m. on a report of a man who had been detained by asset protection associates.
Mr. Johnson reportedly had paid for several items at the store and then went back to the sales floor, where he was allegedly placing several items in his shopping bag and then walked toward an exit. Officers noted that the unpaid items included a bath rug and men’s underwear.
